The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards brought television’s biggest stars together at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, the ceremony aired live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. The night celebrated the best in drama, comedy, limited series, and more, highlighting standout performances and shows that defined the year. Here’s a look at the winners in some of the top categories.
Outstanding Drama Series went to The Pitt, beating shows like Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, Severance, Slow Horses, and The White Lotus.
Lead Actor in a Drama Series was awarded to Noah Wyle for The Pitt. Other nominees included Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), and Adam Scott (Severance).
In comedy, Outstanding Comedy Series went to The Studio. It beat out Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, and What We Do in the Shadows.
Limited or Anthology Series honors went to Adolescence, with nominees including Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, The Penguin, and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Outstanding Talk Series was awarded to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, over The Daily Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie went to Stephen Graham for Adolescence, beating Colin Farrell (The Penguin), Jake Gyllenhaal (Presumed Innocent), Brian Tyree Henry (Dope Thief), and Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story).
Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie went to Cristin Milioti for The Penguin. Other nominees included Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Meghann Fahy (Sirens), Rashida Jones (Black Mirror), and Michelle Williams (Dying for Sex).
Outstanding Reality Competition was awarded to The Traitors, beating The Amazing Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Survivor, and Top Chef.
In drama, Lead Actress in a Drama Series went to Britt Lower for Severance, over Kathy Bates (Matlock), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), and Keri Russell (The Diplomat).
Lead Actress in a Comedy Series was awarded to Jean Smart for Hacks. Other nominees included Uzo Aduba (The Residence), Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), and Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary).
Finally, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series went to Seth Rogen for The Studio. He beat out Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), Adam Brody (Nobody Wants This), Jason Segel (Shrinking), and Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building).
