At just 17 years old, actress Ariana Greenblatt has been announced as the newest ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. Reflecting on the honor, Greenblatt shared that it initially felt overwhelming.

“When I found out I was going to be an ambassador, I didn’t know what to expect,” she told PEOPLE. “It wasn’t until I met everyone at L’Oréal Paris that I truly understood how special this opportunity was. What I love most about the brand is the people behind it, they’ve been incredibly kind and welcoming.”

Greenblatt is currently representing L’Oréal Paris at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where the brand marks its 28th year as the official makeup partner. Cannes also hosts the Lights on Women’s Worth Awards, now in its fifth year, an initiative launched by L’Oréal Paris to spotlight emerging female voices in film.

This year, Oscar-winning actress and fellow L’Oréal Paris ambassador Viola Davis joins the program as a juror. She will present the 2025 award to a standout female director from either the Cannes Short Film Competition or the La Cinef selection.

Greenblatt emphasized the importance of the initiative: “Women in film are often underestimated and underappreciated. Being part of a brand that prioritizes and uplifts women in this industry aligns deeply with my values.”

During her first time at Cannes, Greenblatt has embraced the full experience. “I love the weather, the food, and the people. Waking up to an ocean view feels like a dream. It’s chaotic, but in the best way. I enjoy seeing everyone’s looks, it’s exciting and fun.”

She made a striking red carpet appearance at the Dossier 137 (Case 137) premiere in a custom silk baby pink Cong Tri gown, featuring a halter neckline and open back. Earlier in the week, she opted for a casual look with an olive green bomber jacket, jeans, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Her favorite accessory? A digital camera.

Ariana Greenblatt talks about bringing 3 cameras with her

“I brought three cameras with me on this trip. I’ve been taking photos and videos of everything,” she said. “When I saw a bunch of photographers snapping pictures of me, I jokingly turned my camera on them. It was a fun little moment.”

As summer approaches, Greenblatt is simplifying her beauty routine and focusing more on skincare.

“With the heat and sun, I try to pay more attention to my skin. I’ve been working on getting better with sunscreen, it’s been a challenge, but I’m trying.”

A self-described “blush girly,” Greenblatt prefers a natural, sun-kissed look. “I like fluffy brows and glowy skin. When I’ve been in the ocean or sun, I just let my hair do what it wants. It’s part of the vibe.”

Her makeup favorites include L’Oréal Paris staples like the Telescopic Mascara. “That formula is unbeatable. I love it and swear by it,” she said.

Beyond beauty, Greenblatt finds her confidence while working on set. “When I’m able to express my own ideas and see them come to life in a project, I feel empowered,” she said. “And when I make my friends and family laugh or do something kind for them, that makes me feel truly fulfilled.”
