He shared that Travis wanted the proposal to feel special, no matter where it happened. The moment came when they were about to go out for dinner, and Travis suggested a glass of wine instead. That’s when he popped the question. Travis later admitted on his podcast that he was nervous, emotional, and even shed a few tears during the proposal.
The proposal itself was reportedly lavish. The ring, designed by an independent jeweller, cost between 5 and 10 million dollars, depending on the size of the central stone. It was inspired by the Victorian era. The garden setup, designed to feel like an enchanted scene from Taylor’s songs, reportedly cost around USD 38,000. Floral expert Ashley Greer said it included 800 pounds of greenery, 1,200 roses, and 1,000 other flowers. Travis clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making the moment unforgettable for Taylor.
