The biggest conflict came to a head when the Hansang Group chairwoman — also Han Beom Woo’s mother — announced a cooking battle between the conglomerate’s high-end restaurant, Motto, and Mo Yeon Joo’s humble eatery, Jungjae. Though Jungjae initially won through public votes, the chairwoman falsely declared it a tie to force a rematch. Mo Yeon Joo returned to take the challenge head-on, and with the help of her team, presented a home-style Korean meal that reminded the chairwoman of her early days in the culinary world. Moved by their sincerity and her son’s heartfelt efforts, she finally let go of her schemes and allowed Jungjae to continue operating.
Mo Yeon Joo and Han Beom Woo also found their way back to each other. After hearing from Beom Woo’s secretary and older brother about how his upbringing had molded him into someone constantly fighting to survive his mother’s power games, Yeon Joo began to understand him better.
