Target is making curbside pickup even more convenient for iPhone users by integrating with CarPlay. Their “Drive Up” service, which allows you to pick up online orders without leaving your car, just got easier. Normally, you’d place your order through Target’s website or app, schedule a pickup, and notify the store when you arrive by selecting “I’m here” in the app. A Target employee would then bring out your items.

With CarPlay integration, this process is now simplified. When you have an active Drive Up order, the Target app will appear on your car’s screen, showing your order details and store location. You can quickly navigate to the store using Apple Maps, and once there, manage the order directly from your car’s dashboard, avoiding the need to pick up your phone.

If you don’t have a Drive Up order, the app lets you find the nearest Target location. This feature is handy if you’re planning a Target run, especially after placing an order earlier in the day. It makes the process safer and more streamlined since everything can be managed hands-free through your vehicle’s display.

Target is the first U.S. retailer to offer this feature nationwide for CarPlay users. To use it, you’ll need the latest Target app from the App Store and a CarPlay-compatible vehicle. Android Auto users can expect a similar feature soon, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet.
