Prime Video is still ruling the young romance space. It keeps giving big hits one after another. Maxton Hall The World Between Us is its newest show to blow up. The second season has just come out and it has already beaten The Summer I Turned Pretty. It is now the most watched show in many countries like the U.S, the UK and South Africa.
The story is mainly about Ruby and James. They are played by Harriet Herbig Matten and Damian Hardung. Their relationship goes through a lot of pressure. They deal with personal problems and also face messy family situations. In the new season, we get to see more of James’ past. We finally understand why he acts arrogant and spoiled at times. The show becomes much deeper than the usual enemies to lovers type story.
Many fans want to know when the next episode is coming. Episode 5 of Season 2 is called Deceptive Lightness. It will release on November 21, 2025. Viewers in India will get it in the afternoon on Amazon Prime Video. The last episode of the season will come out on November 28, 2025. New episodes drop every Friday. Episode 5 will be about fifty minutes long.
The new episode is expected to be very emotional. Ruby and James may come back together after the dramatic ending of Episode 4. That moment showed Mortimer returning and it shocked everyone. We may also learn the truth about Ophelia. She says she is James and Lydia’s aunt but her real intentions are still unclear.
The episode will also bring up Cordelia’s will which was ignored for a long time. Elaine is becoming jealous of Ruby and this may cause more problems for Ruby and James. Lydia will find it very hard to hide her pregnancy from Sutton and her father Mortimer. There may also be slow romantic growth between Alistair and Kesh. Kesh supported Alistair at Elaine’s party, but they may keep their feelings private for now.
The show is based on the books by Mona Kasten. Season 2 follows her second novel called Save You. Martin Schreier is the director and also the main writer. He works with writers Ceylan Yildir, Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior. The cast includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran and Eli Riccardi as Elaine.
