Stock market today: Tesla slips by 1.20% while Apple post marginal rise of 0.94% in early trading

As of 9:39 AM EST, major stocks displayed varied performance in early trading today. Tesla, Inc. traded at 346.53 USD, down 1.20%, with a market capitalization of 1.11 trillion USD. According to The Wall Street Journal, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk recently offered to buy  the nonprofit controlling OpenAI but OpenAI CEO Sam Altman rejected the offer through App X leading to the stock’s decline on Tuesday.

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) edged up 0.30% to 133.97 USD, bringing its market cap to 3.28 trillion USD.  However, Apple Inc. (AAPL) saw a 0.94% rise, reaching 229.79 USD, with a total market value of 3.45 trillion USD. Apple was on a rise on Tuesday morning after it partnered with Alibaba to develop AI features for the iPhone in China, as reported by The Information.

Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR) increased by 0.30% to 117.00 USD, maintaining a market cap of 266.53 billion USD. Meanwhile, Shopify Inc. (SHOP) dropped 1.07% to 118.62 USD, with a market cap of 153.27 billion USD .

Charles Schwab Corporation (SCHW) posted a 2.23% gain at 82.98 USD, reaching a market capitalization of 151.9 billion USD. The stock rose after it revealed it will buy 19,235,208 shares of TD Bank Group for a total purchase price of $1.5 billion. On the other hand, Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) saw a 0.39% decline, trading at 410.62 USD, with a market cap of 3.05 trillion USD

Finally, Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) fell 2.86% to 41.43 USD, reflecting a market value of 24.26 billion USD. The stock is still declining for a second day straight ahead of its earnings report later today.
