As of 9:41 AM EST, the stock market opened on a positive note today, with major indices reflecting upward trends. The S&P 500 rose to 6,016.92 USD, marking a gain of +0.34%, signaling steady confidence in the broader market.
Meanwhile, the NASDAQ 100 Index surged by +1.66%, reaching an impressive 21,441.15 USD, bolstered by strong performance in the technology sector. The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index climbed to 43,707.13 USD, an increase of +0.50%.
The NASDAQ Composite Index also showed a solid uptick, gaining +1.51% to hit 19,630.20 USD. Additionally, the NYSE Composite Index recorded an increase of +0.87%, standing at 19,778.1119 USD.
The stock market has signalled a positive signal a day after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th U.S. President. This rise came a day after Trump announced reassessment of tariff policies and also focused on trade and manufacturing related practices. However, he was expected to impose new tariffs on his first day of administration but he did not announce any new tariff as of now.
