Stock market today: S&P 500 dropped by 0.38% while DJI increased by 0.36% in early trading

As of 9:35 am EST, the U.S. stock market opened with a mix of gains and losses this morning, as major indices revealed a varied trend. 

The S&P 500 Index stood at 5,998.74 points, reflecting a drop of 0.38%, signaling investor caution. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index showed positive momentum, climbing to 44,883.50 USD, an increase of 0.36%, likely buoyed by gains in industrial and blue-chip stocks. 

The NASDAQ Composite Index, however, continued to struggle, falling by 0.59% to 19,060.48 USD, marking another dip for the broader technology sector.

On a brighter note, the NYSE Composite Index saw an uptick, rising by 0.35% to 20,281.17 USD, reflecting gains across a diverse range of industries listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
