As of 9:37 AM EST, the major U.S. indices reflected a mixed momentum as the market opened on Thursday. Investors are analyzing Walmart’s earnings report which came out on Wednesday and the impact of fallout of Trump’s tariff plans alongside policy shifts.
As the market opened, the S&P 500 dipped by 0.25% to settle at 6,128.77 USD. While the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a more significant decline of 0.30%, landing at 44,491.85 USD.
Conversely, the NASDAQ indices showed marginal gains. The NASDAQ 100 index edged up by 0.05% to reach 22,175.60 USD, and the NASDAQ Composite rose by 0.07% to 20,056.25 USD.
However, the NYSE Composite Index also saw a slight decline of 0.14%, bringing it to 20,199.84 USD.
