Stock market today: S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 up by 0.20% and 0.42% amid reverse tariff announcement later today

As of 9:47 AM EST, the U.S. market opened on a positive note, with all major indices recording slight gains. These gains came after Trump has stated that he will announce reverse tariffs later in the day. Investors are also assessing the impact of increased inflation. 

The S&P 500 climbed to 6,064.12 USD, marking a 0.20% increase. The technology-heavy NASDAQ 100 Index saw a stronger uptick, rising to 21,809.61 USD, representing a 0.42% gain.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index also followed an upward trajectory, reaching 44,441.66 USD with a 0.16% increase. Meanwhile, the NASDAQ Composite Index rose to 19,729.23 USD, gaining 0.40% in early trading.

The NYSE Composite Index saw more modest movement, inching up by 0.06% to reach 20,073.78 USD.
