Stock market news: Tesla posted rise of 3.73% while Palantir dropped by 0.52% during midday trading

Tesla, Inc. continued with a positive rally after it saw a gain of 3.73%, rising to $349.06 with a market cap of $1.12T.

As of 12:35 PM EST today, tech and consumer stocks showed varied movement with major rise in the tech sector. Tesla, Inc. continued with a positive rally after it saw a gain of 3.73%, rising to $349.06 with a market cap of $1.12T.

 NVIDIA Corporation climbed 2.97% to $135.04, bringing its market cap to $3.31T. However, Applovin Corporation led the gains with an impressive 23.26% surge, closing at $468.78 and a market cap of $157.32B. The company has reported higher-than-expected Q4 earnings, resulting in the stock’s surge. 

 Apple Inc. experienced a more modest increase of 1.50%, trading at $240.43 with a market cap of $3.61T. Apple CEO has announced the arrival of a new member on Feb 19. On the downside, Palantir Technologies Inc. dipped 0.52% to $116.78, maintaining a market cap of $266.03B.

 Meta Platforms, Inc. fell by 0.71% to $720.22, with a market cap of $1.82T, this ends Meta’s 18-day surge. However,  Microsoft Corporation slipped by 0.23% to $408.09 with a market cap of $3.03T.

Intel Corporation recorded a strong gain of 9.01%, reaching $24.51 with a market cap of $106.11B. However, Robinhood Markets, Inc. also performed well, rising by 12.04% to $62.64 and achieving a market cap of $55.37B, after the company beat revenue expectations for Q4. 

Lastly, Reddit, Inc. saw a sharp decline of 7.70%, falling to $199.80 with a market cap of $35.08B, the stock declined on Thursday due to a decreased number of active daily users for the app.
