Stock market today: S&P 500 witnessed loss of 1.39% while DJI also dropped by 1.35% in early trading

As of 9:41 AM EST today, global markets witnessed a downturn with all major indices reporting declines. Here’s a breakdown of the top indices’ performances in the early trading session.

The S&P 500 stood at 5,888.01 USD, reflecting a loss of 1.39%. The technology-focused NASDAQ 100 Index also fell to 21,473.01 USD, marking a dip of 1.36%.

Similarly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index dropped by 1.35%, settling at 42,413.42 USD. The NASDAQ Composite Index, which tracks a broader range of tech stocks, registered a sharper decline of 1.49%, landing at 19,722.03 USD.

Meanwhile, the NYSE Composite Index showed some resilience but still recorded a loss of 1.20%, closing at 19,007.0669 USD.
