Stock market news: S&P 500 decline marginally by 0.24% and NASDAQ 100 jump ny 0.23% amid tariff threat by President Trump

As of 9:39 AM EST, major U.S. stock indices demonstrated mixed market trends as investors assess President Trump’s latest 25% tariff imposition threat and wait for Federal Reserve minutes for insight into future policy.

 The S&P 500 index registered a decline of 0.24%, settling at 6,114.78 USD. Meanwhile, the NASDAQ 100 Index saw positive movement, rising 0.23% to reach 22,164.61 USD.

 The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index also experienced a drop, after falling by 0.38% to reach a valuation of 44,388.17 USD. On the other hand, the NASDAQ Composite Index similarly recorded a slight increase of 0.07%, with a current value of 20,041.26 USD.

Conversely, the NYSE Composite Index showed a decline of 0.42%, while it settled at 20,155.21 USD.
