Stock market news: NASDAQ 100 up by 1.18% while DJIA gained around 0.12% after reduced tariff concern

Meanwhile, the technology sector is leading today’s gains as the tech-heavy NASDAQ 100 Index surged to 21,745.78 USD, marking a 1.18% rise.

 As of 12:05 PM EST, the stock market saw positive movement with all major indices posting gains after investors were relieved by the concern over inflation and U.S. tariff threats. While stocks of steelmaker companies also saw a hike on Monday after Trump announced import tariffs on metal and aluminium products.

The S&P 500 climbed to 6,058.53 USD, reflecting a 0.54% increase. Meanwhile, the technology sector is leading today’s gains as the tech-heavy NASDAQ 100 Index surged to 21,745.78 USD, marking a 1.18% rise. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index also advanced, reaching 44,355.97 USD, as it was up by 0.12%. Additionally, the NASDAQ Composite Index gained ground, standing at 19,726.28 USD, with an increase of 1.04%.
