The NASDAQ 100 Index saw a sharper fall, sliding by 2.13% to 20,730.64 USD, driven by sell-offs in key tech stocks. Similarly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index recorded a downturn, falling to 41,942.93 USD, reflecting a decline of 1.62%.
The broader NASDAQ Composite Index also struggled, slipping to 19,055.11 USD, which represents a drop of 2.18%.
With the release of the 2024 jobs report including the country’s unemployment data during the year, the U.S. stock market has faced considerable disruptions with most of the major indices declining.
