Stock market news: NASDAQ 100 and DJIA both posted rise of 0.85% and 0.26% during midday trading as investors wait for further tariff update

However, the tech-heavy NASDAQ 100 Index led the charge, climbing 0.85% to 21,903.13.

As of 12:22 PM EST, all major U.S. indices posted gains on Thursday afternoon. Investors are waiting for a reverse tariff announcement from the Trump administration that will be released later today. Wall Street is now relatively stable after the inflation rate reached 4% yesterday. 

The S&P 500 posted a gain of 0.50% to settle at  6,082.54. However, the tech-heavy NASDAQ 100 Index led the charge, climbing 0.85% to 21,903.13. The tech-sector has led the charge after major tech-companies have made major announcements.  

The Wall Street’s gains were supported by the Dow Jones Industrial Average which also saw modest gains, inching up by 0.26% to reach 44,484.97. Similarly, the NASDAQ Composite Index increased by 0.86%, reaching 19,819.77.
