Steve Burton, best known for his long-running role on General Hospital, has officially tied the knot with chef and influencer Michelle Lundstrom. The couple exchanged vows on May 17 in a deeply personal and intimate ceremony in Laguna Beach, California.

The wedding was a two-part celebration that began with a private Orthodox church ceremony, reserved for immediate family. After that, guests gathered for a romantic oceanfront reception at Montage Laguna Beach. Only about 45 of the couple’s closest friends and family were invited, including a few familiar faces from General Hospital, like Burton’s longtime friend and co-star Jonathan Jackson and his wife, Lisa Vultaggio.

Michelle wore a custom strapless gown by designer Lee Petra Grebenau, with a vintage, romantic aesthetic that she handpicked with the help of her daughters, Lilah and Hannah. The event was very much a family affair—Burton’s children Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn were all part of the wedding party. Jack stood beside his father as a groomsman, something that meant a lot to Steve.

Michelle’s sister Janine served as her maid of honor, and Steve’s best friend, Jeremy Ross, took on best man duties. Reflecting on the day, Burton told People, “I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, growing together each day in faith and love.”

Michelle described her wedding day as the realization of a dream. “He’s proven that fairy tale love truly exists,” she shared. “He’s like pure sunshine—always uplifting, endlessly caring. His love makes me a better person every single day.” She called Burton the love of her life and expressed how at peace she feels now that they’re married.

The reception was as dreamy as their love story. The venue sat atop a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, decorated in soft shades of blush, ivory, and sea glass green with floral arrangements by Honey Bear Events. The entire space glowed with candlelight. The couple’s love for 1980s music added a nostalgic and joyful touch to the evening, from the cocktail hour to the dance floor.

Their first dance was to “I Choose You” by Forest Blakk, and dinner was a culinary highlight thanks to Montage’s in-house chefs. The dessert? A beautiful vanilla sponge cake with cream and fresh berries—elevating the simple sheet cake Steve initially had in mind.

Steve proposed to Michelle just four months earlier in a surprise moment in Nashville, setting the tone for their whirlwind journey to the altar. The celebrations wrapped up with a farewell brunch, and the couple has since flown off to Maui for their honeymoon, ready to begin married life in paradise.
