BTS has reached a major milestone with their 2020 hit Dynamite, as the music video surpassed 2 billion views on September 4 at around 9:16 am KST. It took the group 5 years, 13 days, and 20 hours to achieve this remarkable feat, cementing the track as one of their most iconic releases. Dynamite, released on August 21, 2020, was BTS’ first full-English single and came at a time when the world was navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Its upbeat message resonated globally, earning the group their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1.

Following Dynamite, BTS released more English tracks like Butter in May 2021 and Permission to Dance in July 2021, continuing their success in the Western market and inspiring other K-pop acts to follow suit. After releasing the album Proof in June 2022, the group went on a three-year military hiatus, with Take Two arriving in June 2023 to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. Now reunited, BTS has been working on a new album in the US with top producers and is expected to return soon with new music and a music video, continuing their global dominance.
