Kurt Sutter, the creator of Sons of Anarchy, has shared insights into the fan interactions he experiences on social media regarding the popular TV series. According to Sutter, most of the fan requests he receives are focused on one specific aspect: “more naked Jax,” referring to Charlie Hunnam’s character, Jax Teller, in the show.
In an interview with Collider, Sutter humorously mentioned that he doesn’t take story input from fans, emphasizing the recurring theme of fans expressing their desire to see more of Charlie Hunnam’s character without clothes. His wife, Katey Sagal, who plays Gemma Morrow on Sons of Anarchy, pointed out that Sutter does occasionally “comply” with these fan requests by including scenes showcasing Jax Teller without his shirt.
Sutter acknowledged the impact of social media on the show’s popularity, noting that the landscape of social media has rapidly changed since Sons of Anarchy first premiered in 2008. Despite the continuous fan requests and the show’s enduring popularity, Sutter remains focused on his creative vision for the series.
While Sons of Anarchy concluded in 2014, Sutter’s creative involvement continues with the spin-off series Mayans MC, which provides fans with additional stories within the Sons of Anarchy universe.
