Simon Pegg, who has been a beloved part of the Mission: Impossible franchise since 2006, recently shared emotional insights about filming the final installment, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Speaking to Variety, Pegg revealed that his last day on set was far from the typical big farewell.

Unlike what one might expect—no cheers, hugs, tears, or even cake—his final scene was a quiet moment with his character Benji sitting alone in a car, without fellow cast members or the usual on-set celebration. “I think it was just me there,” Pegg said, reflecting on the absence of any “post-stunt euphoria.”

Despite the low-key wrap, Pegg admitted the day was emotionally charged as he said goodbye to the “little family of people” he had worked with for nearly two decades. He has been part of the franchise since Mission: Impossible III (2006), bringing to life the tech-savvy Benji Dunn, who’s been a fan favorite.
