Comedy power duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are back, diving into the chaotic world of Hollywood with their new Apple TV+ series, The Studio. This sharp-witted satire boasts an all-star cast and a hilariously exaggerated take on the film industry.
Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a passionate filmmaker who finds himself at odds with the money-driven priorities of Continental Studios. When his longtime mentor is forced out, Remick gets the chance to take charge—but only under the watchful eye of the studio’s ruthless CEO, played by Bryan Cranston. As he struggles to balance artistic integrity with blockbuster demands, he and his team must navigate the absurdities of Hollywood.
The series features an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Martin Scorsese, Catherine O’Hara, Anthony Mackie, Charlize Theron, Zac Efron, Ron Howard, Zoë Kravitz, Dave Franco, Josh Hutcherson, and Olivia Wilde. Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders, and Ike Barinholtz round out the main cast as members of Remick’s team. Expect everything from Franco’s bizarre adventures to Howard throwing surprise punches, all in the name of satire.
Premiering at SXSW 2025, The Studio quickly gained buzz for its self-aware humor and playful jabs at Hollywood politics. The first two episodes dropped on Apple TV+ on March 26, with new episodes arriving every Wednesday.
Rogen and Goldberg, known for comedy classics like Superbad, Pineapple Express, and This Is the End, are once again bringing their signature mix of sharp humor and ridiculous fun. If you love inside jokes about the entertainment industry, The Studio is a must-watch!
