Selena Gomez and fiancé Benny Blanco were the picture of love at the 2025 Emmy Awards red carpet last night at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre. Gomez, 33, was nominated as part of the ensemble cast of Only Murders in the Building, which was up for Best Comedy Series. She dazzled fans in a floor-length Louis Vuitton gown, while Blanco kept it classic in a black tuxedo.
A lip-reading expert, Nicola Hickling, analyzed footage of the couple and claims Blanco cheekily told Gomez to “grab me” as they posed for photos. Gomez responded in kind, slipping her arm behind Blanco and playfully holding his rear, prompting laughter and smiles from the musician.
The flirtatious exchange comes just weeks before the couple’s reportedly upcoming wedding in Montecito, California, at the end of September. The couple announced their engagement last December.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon last week, Gomez shared a glimpse into the upcoming nuptials, saying: “It’s wonderful… I’m very lucky. It’s going well. I’m so excited.”
She also reflected on her life and growth during a recent appearance on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast: “I do feel… the older you get, the less you care about the things you thought you did before. So, it feels really great in my thirties. We’ve been doing the brand [Rare Beauty], I got engaged, and my little sister is graduating sixth grade. All of those moments are things I’m going to cherish.”
