Season two of ‘With Love, Meghan’ has received a dismal 20 percent critic score on Rotten Tomatoes

Meghan Markle, who first gained fame as an actress on Suits, stepped into real-life royalty when she married Prince Harry, becoming the Duchess of Sussex. After their highly publicized exit from royal life and move to the U.S., Meghan tried to reestablish herself in the media world. Her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, returned for a second season on August 26, 2025, but the response has been disappointing.

The show’s ratings took a big hit. On Rotten Tomatoes, it scored just 20 percent, down from 38 percent in its first season. Audience ratings also dropped, hitting 27 percent from the previous 33 percent. Critics were harsh, calling the series “contrived” and “meaningless.” The Guardian said it was “so painfully contrived that it’s genuinely fascinating,” while others claimed it felt like “a series in search of a meaning, fronted by a woman in need of some cash.” Social media viewers were equally critical, calling it “boring,” “pretentious,” and “out of touch.”

Even celebrity guests couldn’t save the show. Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Tan France, Chef José Andrés, and entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima appeared on the season, but critics said the interactions felt overly scripted and forced. The show’s star power didn’t translate into authenticity or engagement.

Meghan also tried to include personal stories from her life with Prince Harry, like him saying “I love you” first or being apart from their children during a 2022 UK visit. But these moments were overshadowed by the show’s unclear focus. Critics said it wasn’t clear whether the series aimed to be a cooking show, a lifestyle program, or a talk show.

Netflix hasn’t confirmed a third season, but a holiday special is planned for December 2025. With Meghan and Harry’s first-look deal still active, more projects may come, but the steep drop in ratings suggests audiences are skeptical. Unless the format improves, the show’s future may be uncertain.

The second season shows that while Meghan’s idea to blend food, wellness, and personal stories is clear, it hasn’t connected with viewers, leaving the Duchess’s Netflix path on shaky ground.
