As Sean “Diddy” Combs prepares to face serious criminal charges in court, one thing has remained constant—his children’s unwavering support. The 54-year-old rapper and music mogul is set to begin his federal trial today in New York, with jury selection and opening statements on the docket. He’s been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024, but throughout this ordeal, his family has stood firmly by his side.

When he appeared in court in March, two of his children—Christian “King” Combs, 27, and Chance Combs, 19—along with his mother, Janice Combs, were present in the courtroom as he pleaded not guilty to a list of disturbing charges. These include sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, as well as facilitating prostitution, among other accusations.

Although only two of his kids showed up in court, all of them have expressed their solidarity online. In a united front, Diddy’s son Quincy Brown, 33, posted a family statement to social media saying, “The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media.” The message ended with, “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”

Even while behind bars, Diddy has kept in touch with his kids. On his 55th birthday in November, his children gathered around a cake at home, singing “Happy Birthday” to him in a touching moment captured on Instagram. During the call, Diddy responded with deep emotion: “Thank you all for being strong and thank you all for being by my side. I love y’all. I got the best family in the world.”

Each of his children has built a path of their own, many of them in the entertainment world like their father. Quincy is both an actor and a musician. Justin, 31, appeared in the TV series Power Book II: Ghost. Christian, known by his stage name King Combs, is signed to Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Entertainment. Meanwhile, his daughters Chance, Jessie, and D’Lila have shown interest in fashion and the entertainment industry, and his youngest, Love, is just two years old.

Despite the weight of the allegations, the Combs family continues to present a united front, holding onto the hope that the truth will emerge through the storm.
