Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a serious new lawsuit from a California woman who alleges he orchestrated a gang rape in 2018 as revenge for her comments suggesting his involvement in Tupac Shakur’s death.
The lawsuit details a disturbing scene inside an Orinda, California, apartment where the woman claims she was drugged, raped, and threatened by Combs. According to her attorney, Ariel Mitchell, the incident occurred after the woman met Diddy via FaceTime, following a chance encounter with one of his friends at a bar. During their conversation, she made a remark suggesting Diddy had something to do with Tupac’s murder, which allegedly angered the rapper.
“A very savage gang rape,” Mitchell described the event, saying the woman was set up by Diddy’s friend a month later. The lawsuit claims that, during the assault, Diddy threatened her, saying she would “pay” for her remarks about Tupac. The woman alleges she was raped by Diddy and other men while being told her life was in his hands.
Despite being drugged, the accuser managed to escape. The lawsuit claims she told Diddy she didn’t enjoy partying with him and that he had raped her. Neighbors in the area reportedly called the police, and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office responded.
The accuser, fearful for her safety, initially chose not to name Diddy when she later sought medical attention due to ongoing pain. The lawsuit states that hospital staff contacted Walnut Creek police, who took her statement, but she refrained from identifying Diddy out of fear she wouldn’t be believed.
Attempts to obtain police reports related to the incident have reportedly been blocked, raising concerns for the woman’s legal team. Legal analyst Steven Clark has called for an independent investigation, emphasizing the need to ensure the woman was treated as a credible sexual assault victim.
Despite numerous recent allegations of sexual misconduct against Diddy, including claims from 1995 to 2021, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office stated that their investigation into the 2018 incident found the accusations to be unfounded.
The accuser is seeking $50 million in damages from Diddy and those involved.
