Sean “Diddy” Combs is going to court later this month, and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is expected to testify against him. Cassie had filed a lawsuit against him back in 2023, accusing him of rape, abuse, and human trafficking. Even though they settled that case out of court for an unknown amount, she might still take the stand in this new federal trial.
Cassie and Diddy dated on and off from 2007 to 2019. A few months after she filed her lawsuit, police raided Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. It’s believed Cassie may have helped them with some information that led to those raids.
In May 2024, a video was leaked online showing Diddy kicking and dragging Cassie. But both sides in the case claimed the clip’s source was unreliable, so it was not used officially in court.
Aside from Cassie, three other women are also expected to testify against Diddy. Jury selection for the case is supposed to begin on May 5.
Diddy’s lawyers say all the accusations are false and are calling the whole thing a setup to take money from him. But with several people ready to testify and past behavior being questioned, this case could get very serious.
