Through 38 games, she’s averaging 16.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists, numbers that solidified her as a star, especially after a dominant 22-point, 17-rebound performance in the Elite Eight.
But Sarah Strong’s basketball instincts aren’t just natural; they’re inherited. She comes from a family deeply rooted in the game, with both her parents having played professionally.

Sarah Strong’s mother, Allison Feaster-Strong, isn’t just a former player—she’s a basketball icon. Feaster was a high school phenom in South Carolina, scoring over 3,400 points before heading to Harvard, where she shattered records. She was a three-time Ivy League Player of the Year and led Harvard to a legendary NCAA Tournament upset over Stanford in 1998.
Feaster was selected fifth overall in the 1998 WNBA Draft and enjoyed a decade-long career with the Los Angeles Sparks, Charlotte Sting, and Indiana Fever, along with stints in Europe. Today, she’s a key figure in the NBA, serving as the Boston Celtics’ vice president of team operations and organizational growth.
Sarah Strong’s father: Danny Strong
Sarah Strong’s father, Danny Strong, also had an impressive playing career. After starring at NC State, where he averaged 12.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, he played professionally in France and Spain for 15 years before retiring in 2012.
Now, he’s dedicated to coaching the next generation of players. He runs The Strong Center in North Carolina and serves as an assistant coach at Grace Christian School—where Sarah honed her skills before making her mark on college basketball.
