French drug maker Sanofi has announced plans to expand its global capability centre in Hyderabad. The company wants to grow its workforce there to more than 4,500 employees.

Sanofi said the expansion will be supported by a multi hundred million investment. However, the company did not share the exact amount it plans to spend.

It also did not give a clear timeline for when the hiring will happen. So it is not yet known how quickly the new jobs will be added.

The Hyderabad centre plays an important role in Sanofi’s global operations. It acts as one of the company’s key strategic hubs in its international network. From here, teams support different business functions across markets.

This move shows that Sanofi is strengthening its presence in India. It also highlights Hyderabad’s growing importance as a major hub for global healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.
