Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the Five Elders, shocked fans when he arrived on Egghead Island during the Egghead arc. He tried to stop Vegapunk’s broadcast and the Straw Hats’ escape, summoning other Elders and using his hybrid powers to cause chaos. Saturn even stabbed Vegapunk, triggered the broadcast, and tried to control ancient technology and Devil Fruit powers.
However, his plans backfired. The giant ancient robot he refused to scrap ended up helping Luffy and the Straw Hats escape. He also failed to keep Bonney’s powers and Kuma under control. Every major action he took ended in disaster, leaving him exposed to the wrath of Imu.
In the end, Imu delivered the final judgment. Despite Saturn begging for his life, Imu showed no mercy. Using their power from Mary Geoise, Imu sucked the life out of Saturn, leaving only his skull and bones behind.
Saturn’s death was brutal but fitting. He had treated others’ lives as worthless, and the ruler he served personally executed him for his failures. The fans finally saw the most despised villain of the Egghead arc get the punishment he deserved.
So, Saint Saturn is officially dead in the One Piece series, paying the ultimate price for his actions.
