Ryan Reynolds recently returned as Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine and revealed a funny behind-the-scenes moment involving Disney. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (May 12), Reynolds admitted he committed a “grand theft” by walking off the set with a costume worn by Welshpool—a Deadpool variant played by Paul Mullin, a soccer player for the team Reynolds co-owns.
The costume featured a big red dragon, paying tribute to the Welsh flag, and now “lives at the Racecourse Ground,” the oldest international football stadium in the world. Reynolds joked that stealing it was an actual “grand theft,” but said Disney wasn’t mad and even seemed okay with it. Colbert chimed in saying Disney isn’t very “litigious.”
Ryan Reynolds has been playing Deadpool since after Deadpool 2 and in the newest film, he teams up with Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman.
