Ryan Reynolds recently took to social media to express his emotions while celebrating a decade of playing his most beloved character—Deadpool. The Green Lantern star shared a heartfelt video montage showcasing his journey as the wisecracking anti-hero, even including a surprising clip of Nicepool’s death, which quickly caught fans’ attention.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Reynolds shared a fast-paced, nostalgia-packed video that began with his latest adventure in Deadpool & Wolverine before rewinding through the previous Deadpool films. The montage culminated in a throwback to the 2014 leaked test footage—the very clip that helped bring Deadpool to the big screen.
The tribute ended with a simple but emotional message: “Thanks for 10 wonderful years! – Ryan.”
Fans were quick to shower the actor with praise, applauding his dedication to the role and his ability to make audiences laugh. However, one comment stood out among the sea of reactions. Hugh Jackman, Reynolds’ longtime friend and co-star in Deadpool & Wolverine, playfully responded with: “Till YOU’RE 90.”
For those unfamiliar, Jackman’s comment is a nod to a joke from Deadpool & Wolverine, referencing how long Reynolds is destined to keep playing the fan-favorite character.
While the post was meant to be a celebration, one particular clip sparked serious speculation—the inclusion of Nicepool.
The timing of this addition is especially intriguing, given the ongoing legal drama involving Reynolds, his wife Blake Lively, and actor-director Justin Baldoni. Baldoni recently filed a $400 million lawsuit against Reynolds and Lively, claiming that the Nicepool character bears a striking resemblance to him.
Adding fuel to the fire, Reynolds’ post featuring Nicepool came just one day after he formally filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s lawsuit. Whether a deliberate statement or just an unfortunate coincidence, the inclusion of Nicepool has only intensified the conversation surrounding the high-profile case.
