Ryan Reynolds appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for his first interview since Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against It Ends With Us filmmaker Justin Baldoni. When asked about the ongoing legal battle, Reynolds dodged the questions, instead focusing on the upcoming season of his series Welcome to Wrexham. He described the show as “mayhem” and spoke positively about events that bring communities together, like concerts and movie theaters.

In a lighter segment, Reynolds charmed fans by playing with puppies during Rescue Dog Rescue, without addressing the lawsuit. After the interview, he appeared tense but maintained a cheerful demeanor while greeting fans.

The legal case has also affected Blake Lively’s friendship with Taylor Swift, whose name was mentioned in Baldoni’s lawsuit. Swift has been subpoenaed to testify in court.
