Bike-manufacturer Royal Enfield announced to commence assembly of motorcycles in Argentina thereby becoming the first such facility to be set up outside India.

To begin with, the facility would locally assemble 3 motorcycles i.e. Himalayan, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
The unit would be located at Campana in Buenos Aires, the company said in a statement.
It is to be noted that Argentina is one of the biggest mid-size motorcycle markets in Latin America, and the company aims for a significant chunk of the Latin American market with this strategic move.
