Robert Pattinson Will Play Antinous in The Odyssey
Empire Magazine has released the first official look at Robert Pattinson’s character in the film, confirming that he will portray Antinous.
Antinous is a wealthy and influential nobleman from Ithaca — best known as one of the primary suitors who invade Odysseus’ home, attempting to win the hand of his wife, Penelope (played by Anne Hathaway), during Odysseus’ long absence. Pattinson’s character is central to the tension in this part of the story, making his role a major one in Nolan’s adaptation.
Along with Pattinson’s reveal, it has also been confirmed that Zendaya will appear as the goddess Athena, while John Leguizamo is set to play Eumaeus, the loyal swineherd.
