As MLB star Alex Bregman gears up for his debut season with the Boston Red Sox, his wife, Reagan Bregman (née Breman), is also settling into this new chapter of their lives.
In February, Bregman signed a massive three-year, $120 million deal with the Red Sox after spending nine seasons with the Houston Astros, where he played a key role in their 2017 and 2023 World Series victories. Now, as he prepares to take the field in Boston, Reagan has been sharing glimpses of their transition on social media.
On Wednesday, Reagan posted a series of photos to her Instagram Stories, expressing her excitement for their fresh start. She captioned the post, “finally feeling very settled & very excited for this next chapter.” One of the pictures showed her casually dressed in a black quarter-zip sweater, sitting next to their son, who was eagerly enjoying a sugar-coated donut. She also included a throwback video from their wedding day, originally posted in October 2024.
This isn’t the first time Reagan has publicly embraced her husband’s move to Boston. Back on February 25, she shared another post celebrating Alex’s signing, featuring several photos taken at the Red Sox’s spring training facility, JetBlue Park. In the caption, she called it “a whirlwind of a week” and shared her enthusiasm for the journey ahead. Fans in the comments section welcomed the Bregman family with open arms.
“Welcome to Boston,” one user wrote, while another added, “Boston welcomes you and your family! Definitely gonna have to check out some of the fall activities once baseball wraps up. Too bad Alex will be busy in the playoffs with us.”
Saying goodbye to Houston
While the excitement for Boston is evident, leaving Houston hasn’t been easy. Alex spent nearly a decade with the Astros, hitting 191 home runs and cementing his legacy with the team. As the family prepared for the move, Reagan shared a heartfelt farewell to Texas on Instagram.
In a post from February 15, she reflected on their time in Houston with a collection of sentimental photos. “Leaving you is bittersweet, but one thing is certain—no matter where life takes our family, I will always have so much love for this city,” she wrote.
She continued, “This is where I met my husband, where we started our family, and where so many unforgettable memories were made.”
Though the Bregmans are closing one chapter, they’re stepping into another with optimism and excitement. As Alex takes on his new role with the Red Sox, it’s clear his family is embracing the change with open hearts and a love for their new city.
