The Las Vegas Raiders are moving forward in their search for a head coach and have set up a second interview with Davis Webb, the Denver Broncos’ passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Webb will also have his first interview for the Buffalo Bills’ head coaching vacancy.

This marks the third known second interview for the Raiders. Other finalists include Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady and Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who have also interviewed twice. Webb’s second interview signals that he is a serious contender for the role.

At just 31 years old, Webb is a rising star in NFL coaching circles, though he has only three years of coaching experience and has never served as an offensive coordinator. His work developing Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is expected to appeal to Las Vegas, especially with the team likely to draft quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in April.

Webb could offset his limited experience by bringing in seasoned coordinators on both sides of the ball. With Denver out of the playoffs, the Raiders could move quickly to hire him, though more second interviews are expected this week, including with Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
