Rachel McAdams and her partner Jamie Linden are known for keeping their personal life away from the spotlight, so it’s always a rare treat when they are seen together. The couple, who have been dating since May 2016, have two children—a son born in April 2018 and a daughter born in 2020. They have not shared their children’s names.
On Wednesday, August 20, Rachel and Jamie were spotted leaving LAX Airport in Los Angeles. Rachel looked effortlessly casual in a plain black top layered with an oversized denim jacket and grey trousers. She completed her look with a grey cap and appeared to go makeup-free. Jamie kept it relaxed too, wearing a blue checkered shirt over a white T-shirt and denim jeans. Rachel carried a single suitcase, while Jamie had two pieces of luggage and a rucksack on his back. Photos of the outing quickly made the rounds on social media.
Rachel has previously spoken about her experience with motherhood. In 2018, during an interview with The Sunday Times, she said, “It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down. People say your life is not your own anymore. But I had 39 years of myself, I was sick of myself, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person. I waited a long time for motherhood. It’s just how it happened. And I didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”
When asked why she keeps her son’s name private, Rachel explained, “I want to keep his life private, even if mine isn’t. But I’m having more fun being a mum than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days — there’s something delightful about them.”
