Priyanka Chopra has developed a cherished weekly ritual with her husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie, centering around Sunday morning snuggles. Despite their busy schedules, Chopra revealed in an interview with People magazine that these quiet, intimate moments are non-negotiable for the family. She emphasized how important it is for the three of them to have that time together, even if it means starting the day early. According to the actress, they make sure the tradition happens, stating that even on hectic Sundays, “Seven a.m., but we got ’em in.”
Chopra views spending time with her family as the ultimate luxury. For her, it’s not about grand vacations or extravagant experiences, but the ability to be still and present with loved ones. She explained that having the space to simply exist together without a fixed agenda is what she treasures most. The Citadel actress admitted that “being home with my family” and “being languid” in their presence is what brings her the deepest sense of peace. She even described wasting time with them as her guilty pleasure.
That guilty pleasure also extends to her solo downtime. Chopra shared that when the house is quiet, she sometimes indulges in an hour to herself, watching a reality show like Love Island or reading a book when she should be reviewing scripts. These quiet personal escapes are small luxuries she allows herself amid a demanding career and family life.
Another amusing detail about Chopra’s habits at home is her love for snacking. She confessed that during parties or movie nights, she often sneaks off to the kitchen while everyone is distracted. Her goal is to grab a quick bite unnoticed so the casual snacking doesn’t evolve into a full meal for everyone. She explained that if she waits until after the movie or when people start paying attention, it becomes a group activity, and suddenly she’s heating up food for more than just herself.
Currently, Chopra is promoting her new film Heads of State, in which she stars alongside John Cena and Idris Elba. The action-comedy is available for streaming on Prime Video, and while she continues to work on new projects, she remains committed to maintaining her grounding family rituals that bring her balance and joy.
