To culminate the year, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet unveiled exciting news featuring the return of Walking Wake and Iron Hands as formidable 5-star Tera Raid bosses. Additionally, a brand-new seven-star Tear raid is set against the powerful Iron Bundle, providing players with a fresh challenge. These Tera raid battles in both series present Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players with the opportunity to test their skills against the formidable Paradox Pokémon.

The announcement about these Tera raids came shortly after the release of The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While it’s not mandatory to complete the DLC’s main story to access these upcoming Tera raid battles, The Indigo Disk offers players access to a broader range of Pokémon from previous generations to capture. Furthermore, the legendary Pokémon Terapagos boasts both the Stellar Tera type and the move Tera Starstorm, potentially influencing the choices Pokémon trainers will make in preparation for these new challenges.

A focal point in these upcoming events is the seven-star Tera raid against Iron Bundle the Unrivaled, scheduled to occur almost a month after Hisuian Samurott’s raid boss appearance. Commencing on Thursday, December 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET and concluding on Sunday, December 24 at 7:59 p.m. ET, this battle introduces Iron Bundle the Unrivaled, usually exclusive to Pokémon Violet but available in both versions for this event. With its Tera type as Ice and the Quark Drive ability, enhancing its power during Electric Terrain, Iron Bundle poses a threat to Pokémon with weaker special defenses. However, trainers can counter this Paradox Pokémon by utilizing a robust Pokémon like Terapagos equipped with an Assault Vest, along with moves such as Flamethrower, Meteor Beam, and Flash Cannon.

Subsequently, immediately following the Iron Bundle raid, the legendary Paradox Pokémon Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will return as five-star Tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This raid, running from Christmas Day until Sunday, January 7, provides another opportunity for trainers who missed capturing them during the initial February 2023 release. Walking Wake and Iron Leaves retain their Water and Psychic types respectively, yet trainers who already possess one won’t be able to capture the other. Nevertheless, they will still reward trainers who defeat them during this reprise.

These series of Tera raid battles promise thrilling challenges for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players, allowing them to engage with these powerful Paradox Pokémon and strive to emerge victorious in these intense encounters.
