Pokemon Legends ZA Ranked Season 2 is almost over, and many players have had fun climbing from Rank Z to Rank A. Now, Pokemon Company has shared details about Ranked Season 3, which starts right after Season 2 ends. This season is a great chance to improve your battle skills and earn exclusive rewards.
Ranked Season 3 will last for three weeks. It begins on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. PST and ends on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 5:59 p.m. PST.
All Pokemon from the Lumiose Pokedex No. 001–231 are eligible. You can register a Pokemon at any level from 1 to 100, but during battles, their level will be set to 50 automatically. Regional forms are allowed, but only one of the same species can be used. Mega Evolved Pokemon are also allowed.
There are three types of rewards in Season 3. Battle rewards are given after every match regardless of winning or losing. Promotion rewards are given when you advance to a higher rank, and end-of-season rewards depend on the rank you are at when the season ends.
Battle rewards include Mega Shards, Pearls, Big Pearls, Heavy Balls, Rare Candies, and EXP Candies. Promotion rewards include special Mega Stones that cannot be earned through normal gameplay. These include Chesnaughtite for Rank S, Delphoxite for Rank V, and Greninjite for Rank Y.
End-of-season rewards are distributed based on rank. Rank A players get Safari Balls, Gold Bottle Caps, Bottle Caps, Seeds of Mastery, and Big Nuggets. Ranks B to E, F to K, L to R, and S and below have smaller rewards, like Bottle Caps, Nuggets, and Seeds of Mastery.
To claim rewards, you must complete at least one ranked match in Season 3. After the season ends, open Pokemon Legends ZA, press X to access the menu, select Link Play, then Ranked Battles to claim your rewards.
To play a ranked match, open the main menu and choose Link Play, then Ranked Battles. You can select Nearby Players for local battles or Faraway Players for online battles, which need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Each ranked match has four players battling in real-time. You must attack, dodge, and move strategically. The match ends when you defeat all three opponents. Points earned from battles raise your rank, and there are 26 ranks from Z to A.
