Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son has been subjected to backlash for remaining in the U.S. at a time when nearly 4 lakh youngster from his country have joined the fight against Hamas in the retaliation of October 7 attacks. The assault by militants claimed about 1,400 lives and the retaliation has killed about 5,000 lives in Gaza.
According to reports, Yair, 32, moved to Florida earlier this year. A photo of his on a beach has gone viral, with many claiming that he has been chilling in Miami while his countrymen fly home to join the war against Hamas. Business Upturn could not verify the authenticity of the picture.
“Yair is enjoying his life in Miami Beach while I’m on the front lines. It’s us who are leaving out work, our families, our kids, to protect our families back home and the country,” stated one of the volunteers stationed on Israel’s northern front to The Times.
Another soldier claimed to have returned from the States, where he had a job and family. “There is no way I can stay there and abandon my country,” he stated.
A podcaster by profession, Yair is the son of Netanyahu’s third wife Sara. He is a staunch defender of his father and have defended him against controversy by his anti-Islamic social media.
