On May 6, Kanye West made an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, bringing influencer Sneako along for the ride. But what started as a tense interview quickly turned into a media mess when Kanye suddenly got up and walked out mid-conversation, leaving everyone stunned—including Piers.
According to sources and Piers himself, the breaking point came when Morgan began pressing Ye about his recent controversial posts on social media. Rather than stick it out, Kanye simply exited the set without a word. Sneako followed him out, effectively ending the interview before it could really begin.
Later that day, Kanye tried to smooth things over on X (formerly Twitter), posting: “Let’s have a real interview someday. It’s all love.” But Piers was not having it. He clapped back hard, calling Ye’s exit “historic cowardice.”
Morgan quote-posted Kanye’s message and fired off: “We could have had one yesterday if you hadn’t run away before I could ask you any questions. When you’re prepared to actually do that, let me know.”
By May 7, the British TV host wasn’t done venting. He posted a video explaining how the rapper’s sudden exit had wasted “time and money” and disrupted his team’s schedule. Morgan also shared that Kanye had shown up late, taken personal phone calls during the taping, and displayed generally unprofessional behavior.
Piers didn’t stop there—he added that Kanye seemed to be trying to justify his social media outbursts under the guise of “artistic freedom.” During their brief exchange, Ye reportedly claimed that most artists supported his views, even the more inflammatory ones. But Morgan wasn’t buying it, accusing Kanye of using the interview as a publicity stunt—possibly to promote his new album, Bully—without actually answering any tough questions.
Meanwhile, the drama spilled over to social media, with both Kanye and Piers continuing to throw jabs at each other and spinning their own versions of what really went down on set. TMZ even noted how both sides are sticking to wildly different narratives.
West’s recent online behavior has raised eyebrows, especially with posts accused of promoting anti-Semitism and slandering his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. For Morgan, it seemed like the interview was a chance to confront those issues head-on—but instead, it turned into another headline-grabbing exit from one of pop culture’s most controversial figures.
At this point, whether Kanye ever returns for that “real interview” remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure: Piers Morgan isn’t letting this one go anytime soon.
