Pete Davidson, the comedian you might know from Saturday Night Live, has taken a pretty big step with his new girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. According to a reliable source talking to People magazine, the two have officially moved in together — which is a serious move, especially since they only went public with their relationship a couple of months ago in March.
Back when rumors first started flying, Page Six was the first to report that Pete was dating someone new, which caught a lot of people’s attention because Elsie isn’t a celebrity in the usual Hollywood sense like some of Pete’s past girlfriends. Since then, they’ve been splitting their time between Pete’s place upstate New York and a cool Brooklyn brownstone they just rented.
Friends close to the couple say they’re really happy and are settling into this new chapter smoothly. The source explained that living together has been a positive change for them, and they’re making it work between the two homes they share.
Fans first got wind of their relationship when they were spotted getting cozy on a beach trip in Palm Beach, Florida, back in March. After some paparazzi caught them sharing kisses, Elsie made things official by posting a playful video on Instagram. In the clip, Pete is laughing in a bathrobe while a classic Rugrats cartoon plays on TV behind him — definitely a cute and down-to-earth moment.
People close to the couple also mention that Elsie really respects Pete’s need for privacy, which is a big deal for him since he’s always been careful about his personal life. Even though the relationship is still pretty new, Pete seems genuinely into Elsie.
Elsie herself has had some high-profile romances before, including with actor Jason Sudeikis and music producer Benny Blanco (who’s now engaged to Selena Gomez). Pete, on the other hand, has dated a string of famous women, like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Emily Ratajkowski, just to name a few.
Despite all the headlines and media buzz about his past relationships, Pete has said that things weren’t as dramatic as the tabloids made them out to be. Right now, he’s focused on growing personally and professionally, and it looks like this new relationship with Elsie is part of that fresh start.
