Perrie Edwards has announced that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Little Mix star shared the news on Instagram with a playful video. She first stood with her back to the camera wearing a t-shirt that read, “If he wanted to, he would.” When she turned around, the front of the shirt said, “…and He Did!” At the end of the video, her husband joined her and cradled her baby bump.
The text on her t-shirt also referenced the title of her latest single. Her post quickly filled with congratulatory messages, including comments from her Little Mix bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Previously, Perrie had spoken openly about her struggles with multiple miscarriages. On We Need to Talk, she explained that she didn’t share her experiences out of shame but because it’s a deeply personal matter. She and her husband faced a difficult journey to get pregnant. She recalled one early pregnancy where she began to bleed and later learned from her gynecologist that she had miscarried.
Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are already parents to a four-year-old, and they are now preparing to welcome their second child.
