Peaky Blinders fans have something exciting to smile about before Christmas. Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming movie spin off titled The Immortal Man.
The teaser is short but powerful. It gives the first glimpse of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby since the show ended in 2022. This is after Tommy faked his own death in the final episode.
In the clip, Tommy looks lonely and distant. He is seen walking alone, almost like a man hiding from the world. A voice then asks what really happened to Tommy Shelby, the famous gypsy gangster.
Later in the trailer, Tommy says he is not that man anymore. The scenes that follow are intense. There are explosions. There are violent moments. There is even a brief look at what seems to be a group of Nazis.
Fans also get a quick look at a new face joining the story. Barry Keoghan appears in the trailer, though his role is still a mystery.
One person who does not appear yet is Rebecca Ferguson. She was earlier confirmed to be part of the movie and has said she wanted to work with Cillian Murphy for a long time.
The trailer comes just weeks after Netflix confirmed the release dates. The movie will arrive in cinemas on 6 March 2026. It will start streaming on Netflix from 20 March 2026.
The story is set in Birmingham in 1940 during World War II. Tommy is pulled back from exile to face his darkest chapter yet. The future of his family and even the country is on the line. He must face his past and decide whether to accept his legacy or destroy it completely.
Even so, this movie is not the end of Peaky Blinders. It has already been confirmed that the series will return with 2 more seasons.
The new seasons will jump forward in time. They will focus on a new generation of Shelbys. The story will revolve around a fierce battle to control Birmingham’s massive rebuilding project after the war.
For fans, the Peaky Blinders world is far from over.
