It seems like Paul Rudd might have missed the mark with his recent movie releases, as both *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania* and *Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire* have received lackluster reviews. Critics have been particularly harsh on *Frozen Empire*, criticizing its unfocused storyline and lack of charm compared to the original ’80s movie. The film’s Rotten Tomatoes score sits at just 45%, lower than even *Quantumania*, which was heavily criticized in the MCU.
Rudd’s fashion choice at the Spanish premiere of *Frozen Empire* also raised some eyebrows. While he can usually pull off any look, his outfit for the event, especially the mosaic-print shirt paired with a plain white tee, was deemed less stylish than his usual red carpet appearances. Director Gil Kenan and actor Finn Wolfhard also failed to impress with their casual attire, while McKenna Grace stood out with her elegant white ensemble.
Despite the lukewarm reception from critics, *Frozen Empire* seems to resonate better with audiences, with an audience score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, box office predictions suggest a lower opening weekend compared to its predecessor, *Afterlife*, which opened to $44 million. It remains to be seen if the film will attract enough moviegoers to turn its fortunes around.
