Park Min Young has once again proven her versatility, moving from charming secretaries and scholarly roles to a bold con artist in Confidence Queen. In the series, she plays Yoon Yi Rang, a character who dons masks to reveal hidden truths and swiftly take down evildoers. The drama showcases her stepping fully into the action genre while embracing a darker, more daring persona than in previous roles like Healer or City Hunter.

In a roundtable discussion with co-stars Joo Jong Hyuk and Park Hee Soon for the Prime Video production, Park Min Young expressed her admiration for her Indian fans, promising, “One day I’ll definitely go to India and have a fan meeting with you for sure.” Her co-stars also joked about wanting to explore comedy or musical roles in Bollywood if given the chance.

When asked about romance in the show, she noted that Confidence Queen offers little room for love, marking a key difference from her previous action-romance projects. She also highlighted her dedication to performing stunts herself, saying that while she used to be cautious in her younger years, she now approaches physically demanding scenes fearlessly, often resulting in bruises but also a sense of fulfillment. Regarding her character’s love life, she emphasized that Yoon Yi Rang is all about self-love, putting that agenda above any romantic subplot.
