Park Min Young caught attention at a press conference in Seoul for appearing noticeably thin, prompting fans to express concern about her health on social media. She was promoting her upcoming K-drama Confidence Queen alongside co-stars Park Hee Soon and Joo Jong Hyuk and director Nam Ki-hoon.
Responding to the chatter, Park Min Young posted a note on Instagram explaining that her weight loss was due to a strict diet for her role in Siren, combined with an intense schedule. She reassured fans that she is eating three full meals a day and encouraged them to look forward to Confidence Queen, Siren, and her upcoming variety show appearances.
The actress plays Yoon Yi-rang, a brilliant con artist, in Confidence Queen. The drama follows Yi-rang and two other con artists, Myung Gu Ho and James, as they take on villains and reclaim ill-gotten gains. Park Min Young noted that this action-romance role is different from her previous projects like Healer with Ji Chang Wook and City Hunter with Lee Min Ho, emphasizing that Yoon Yi-rang represents a shift toward a more daring, villainous character. Confidence Queen began streaming on September 6.
