Our Movie is a touching South Korean melodrama that brings together themes of love, healing, and the rediscovery of passion. Starring Namkoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been, the series follows two individuals from the film industry as they cross paths and form a deep emotional bond amidst personal struggles.
Namkoong Min plays Lee Je Ha, a once-successful film director who made a splash with a box office hit early in his career. However, he later loses his passion for filmmaking and struggles to find meaning in his work. His life begins to change when he meets Jeon Yeo Been’s character, Lee Da Eum, an aspiring actress living with a terminal illness. Despite the challenges she faces, Da Eum is determined to live freely and pursue her dream of acting.
Their connection grows as they begin working together on a film project. Through the ups and downs of the filmmaking process, both characters begin to heal from their emotional wounds. As their professional relationship blossoms into something more personal, the series presents a moving story about finding solace and meaning in unexpected places.
The show also stars Seo Hyeon Woo as Bu Seung Won and Lee Seol as Chae Seo Yeong, both of whom play pivotal roles in the emotional journey of the lead characters. Supporting roles include fellow industry colleagues and staff such as actors, a cinematographer, a makeup artist, a chef, and a content PD, enriching the backdrop of the film world.
Our Movie premiered on June 11 and 12 on Wavve and is also available for streaming on Disney+ in Korea. New episodes will air every Friday and Saturday until July 19, giving viewers a total of 12 emotionally charged episodes that explore the highs and lows of love, loss, and second chances.
